T3s. Tetris for Almaty city

Background

In 2020, during the pandemic lockdown, I designed and developed a mobile game called T3s. It was a remake of the classic “Tetris” game, originally created for the Nintendo Entertainment System (or NES). This was my first mobile game. And I learned a lot during the process. I built it using a powerful combo of Gamemaker Studio & Adobe Illustrator.

Outcome

For a short time, the game was available on Google Play. It was featured in The Steppe and The Village online magazines. Later, it was removed from Google Play after a complaint from Tetris Holding LLC. I decided to open source the project files so anyone could use them for educational or personal purposes. It became a small but valuable contribution to the game development community.
